A mammoth antique charm bracelet filled with 19th century intaglio charms and an array of other intriguing vintage charms. Adorned with thirteen charms in total, the 22cm-long curb padlock bracelet is made of 15ct gold and bears English hallmarks for year 1905 and marked by the Birmingham-based maker, John Grinsell & Sons.
Designed and worn in the 1960's by a well-heeled South Australian lady, this antique bracelet is not your typical charm bracelet (to say the least!).
The charms include;
- Seven fanciful intaglio seals dating back to the mid 19th century and ranging from 9ct gold to 18ct gold (two are gold filled). All adorned with natural Quartz intaglios - varieties of citrine, carnelian and agate
- One Victorian-era 9ct gold hand engraved heart Padlock with compartment to the reverse
- One vintage 18ct gold chrysoprase Scorpion charm
- One vintage 14ct gold Horseracing charm
- One Victorian-era gold filled bloodstone watch Key
- One vintage 9ct gold Platypus charm
- One vintage 18ct gold nephrite jade Heart charm

Overall, very good antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to any of the charms and all gemstone intaglios are in excellent order with no chips. Both padlock clasps work well, clipping securely when fastened |
