A beautiful Scottish 'statement' bracelet from the Victorian era, circa 1870! The sterling silver bracelet is comprised of various agate and jasper links. The scottish agate includes carnelian, banded agate and jasper - an array of earthy tones of burnt orange, brown/beige and dark green blend together beautifully. The variety of gemstone shapes include a convex rectangle which has curved ends and a criss-cross groove, alternating with oval -cuts. Sterling silver closed jump rings attach the links together. The padlock clasp secures the hook-and-eye style closure, and is decorated with inlaid banded agate on one side, and a compartment of plaited hair on the reverse.
A fantastic Scottish piece of history, and would make a special addition to any collection!
